Tuber Magnatum Pico
It has a globular appearance, with numerous depressions on the peridium that make it irregular. The outer surface is smooth and slightly velvety color ranging from pale ocher to dark cream, its flesh or gleba is unmistakable and is yellowish and greyish with thin white veins, with a pleasantly aromatic, very intense and unique scent of its kind. that distinguishes it from other truffle species.
It lives in symbiosis with oaks, limes, poplars and willows, rarely found in conjunction with other truffles. In order to be born and develop, it needs very particular soil and climatic conditions: the soil must be soft and humid for most of the year, it must be rich in calcium and with a good air circulation; it is precisely these rare environmental factors that make it such a rare and coveted fruit.

The strong market demand, its scarce availability make it a product of high commercial value. The collection period is from 15 September to 15 January.

Appearance and dimensions
The white truffle for sale is of mixed size, with a roundish appearance and numerous protuberances and depressions on the rind, which make it velvety to the touch. The color of the truffle you will receive may vary from pale ocher to dark ivory with greenish hues. The inner part (gleba) is instead tending to yellow with thin white veins, typical colors of the best white truffle.

Provenance of fresh white truffle for sale
The fresh white truffle is wooded, not grown in truffle. A selected product, harvested in the Region of Sicily, among the woods of oaks, limes, poplars and willows, characterized by a soft, moist soil rich in nutrients such as calcium and mineral salts.
